If you like a bit of heat, try these. Otherwise, you can omit the hot pepper flakes. I also make these with a bit of fresh parsley sprinkled in after they cool. Ingredients:4 large mushrooms 2 small cloves garlic, chopped coarsely 1/8 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes 1 Tablespoon olive oil Instructions:Trim the stems from the mushrooms, wash them and slice in half. Next, thickly slice each half longways so that the stem remains part of the slice. Set aside. Heat oil on medium high and add mushroom slices. Sautee for about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally, and allowing some to brown a bit. Add garlic pieces, season with salt, pepper and hot pepper flakes. Stir once more and then lower heat, cook covered for about 2 minutes. Do not overcook, as mushrooms shrink.
