Mike's Decadent Alfredo Sauce

I almost never get photos of Mike's food because we eat it all up before we can remember to break out the camera. As with most of the recipes published by Mike or Dina, the below measurements are an approximation only. Generally, Mike makes this freestyle as I like to call it; a bit of this, a dash of that, stir it, taste it, add more if necessary. This really is THE best Alfredo sauce I've ever had in my life. Make it and enjoy!

Ingredients:

4 cloves garlic, finely diced
1 1/2 cup half n half
4 Tablespoons butter
1/4 cup grated parmesan or romano cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Sprinkle of parsley and basil
Dash of cayenne

To make:

Melt the butter in a medium sized pan. Sautee garlic in butter on medium-low heat until you get the aroma of the garlic. Add half 'n half, parmesan cheese and seasonings (except basil). Cook on low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, stir in basil and pour over cooked tortellini.

Makes 2 servings.
