Korean Style Flank Steak

Ingredients:

1 1/2 to 2 lbs. flank steak

1/4 cup sesame seeds

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 Tablespoons sugar

1 clove garlic, chopped

1 thin slice of ginger, chopped finely

black pepper to taste

1 small onion, sliced

1/4 cup corn oil

To make:

Carefully trim fat from flank steak, then score. Mix remaining ingredients together and pour into a shallow glass baking dish, then add steak. Refrigerate several hours or overnight, turning once. Remove marinated steak from fridge and transfer to a broiler pan. Preheat oven to broil setting. Broil steak about 6 inches from heat, 4 minutes on each side. Slice on a diagonal. Serves 6.
