Kitchen Gadgets: What Do You Love and What Can You Live Without?Last year for Christmas, my wonderful man gave me a Krups cappuccino machine. This thing steams milk and makes the most perfect espresso. I adore it. You'll never believe where he found it: the Salvation Army. Yep, he bought it for a couple dollars brought it home, cleaned it up, put it in a pretty box and placed it under the tree. I don't care one bit that it's not brand new from the store. He's also found me a rototiller, a treadmill, and a food processor at the dump. Bless his heart. I can't live without my cappuccino/espresso machine. I adore good coffee - darkly roasted, rich, well-prepared in small doses...there's nothing like it. I also can't live without a good Henckels set of kitchen knives, freshly ground pepper, my Kitchen Aid mixer, and a salad spinner. This gets me to thinking about the products I could live without...you know, all those things advertisers make me think I might need, but never use. My microwave would be one of them. Yes, I know, I am in the dark ages, but something about microwaves makes me uncomfortable. I can't help it. Here are a few more.
