Could be! This recipe is a make-out-with-me-if-you-dare version made with fresh, raw garlic... so if you want to try this with your fella or fellette, you better be pretty secure in your relationship. Not only is bruschetta a delicious and low-calorie snack, but it will ward off vampires while you sleep. 1. In a small custard cup, infuse: About 6 tablespoons of olive oil 2. Slice and arrange on a baking sheet: Half a loaf of crusty Italian or French bread 3. Chop up and add to a bowl: Six ripe plum tomatoes 4. Season the mixture with salt and pepper. Go about your business for about 15 or 20 minutes while the oil and garlic take some time to get to know each other. When you come back... 5. Preheat the oven to about 350 degrees. While that's happening... 6. Brush the bread slices with the garlic-flavored oil. (Die-hard garlic fans may even want to slice up some garlic and add a couple of pieces to each piece of bread) 7. Spoon a little of the tomato-basil mixture onto each slice of bread, then bake in the oven for about 10 minutes or until bread starts to crisp up and turn light golden-brown. When the bruschetta is done baking, you can feed bites of it to your lover, all the while knowing that they're yours for the taking. Because after they eat this, no one else will want to get near them! Mangia. Serves: 2-4. Custom Search
