Brown Sugar Cookies

Cream together:

1/c cup brown sugar

1/2 cup white sugar

1 cup margarine

Blend in:

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla

Add:

2 cups sifted flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Procedure:

Chill 20 minutes. Shape into small balls and roll in granulated sugar. Place on ungrased baking sheet and press flat with drinking glass.

Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool and swirl on icing.

Icing:

Boil 1 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup cream for 4 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Blend in 1 cup powdered sugar and beat until smooth.
